Stay at home
Well, no sooner had Jasmen re-licensed, settled in with great childcare and her new routine, than the whole world went into lockdown mode in the midst of a global pandemic. Although, at times, it was easier for her to adjust, since she was used to spending quite a bit of time at home with the girls, it had some challenges along the way. Harder to connect with friends, family, and her support systems. No more of the ‘me time’ she had carefully prioritized and choreographed over the years. While Jakob busied himself with his honey do-list (including a from-scratch playground for the girls, playhouse, and single handedly putting up the fence), she had a slower pace inside with two toddlers. Luckily, a bit of a homebody, she found her joy in this season as well. Lots of reorganizing, cleaning, cooking, baking and gardening.
In the past week, the phone has started ringing off the hook with new listings and buyers eager to restart their searches. It would seem the market has been wholly unaffected even after a 7 week “pause” button. With people trickling back into the work force, they are now able to be approved for mortgages. Sellers are feeling more comfortable with allowing viewings of their home so long as the guidelines are followed. At the end of the day, no matter what is going on in the world at large, people move. Situations change. Needs shift. People adapt. So, back to work we go, ready to adjust our practices for the safety and financial security of our clients.
