Summer with the Christophs
It’s been an interesting year… to say the least!! We were all in this boat together. It has been a real joy to get to bring the girls to playgrounds and playdates again, and to visit their family and friends again. We are very fortunate to have a wide open back yard and a property bordering Seal Bay, so through the isolation months we packed our days with lots of outside enjoyment.
Sadly, because of the bottle neck of demand on real estate after a couple of months pause, Jakob hasn’t had much free time. A couple of river and beach visits here and there, a few jet ski nights and the odd dirt bike morning. It’s hard to complain though, with our amazing client base and many beautiful evenings spent in the garden (a nice place to negotiate from - more thankful than ever for online signings).
Meanwhile, Jasmen has spent most of her summer trying new baking recipes, hosting initimate dinner parties and with dirt under her nails and the sun on her back. The girls are flourishing and their friendship strengthens every day. Louella is so happy to have a playmate that she can now communicate with and Sabine does her best to keep up.
When isolation became the norm for March and April, we enjoyed lots of family time with Jakob spending lots of time building a playground and then a playhouse for the girls. Naturally, Jasmen had big plans for the design of the space. Jakob honed his craft and put a lot of heart & sweat into it. It’s almost finished and ready for the grand reveal. The girls have been locked out and they think dad is building a shed. Little do they know… it’s all for them and years of childhood memories.
September 5th marks our 5 year wedding anniversary. We have organized a trip just hte two of us to Hornby Island. We have big dreams of a family cabin there so we will be checking out some local real estate in between cider tastings and beach visits.
As we are writing… it is pouring rain outside. Seems fitting that fall would make an appearance middle of August 2020. Why not?
