Supporting Habitat for Humanity Vancouver Island North

At Christoph Real Estate Group, community isn’t just where we work — it’s what we build our business around. That’s why we’re proud to have supported Habitat for Humanity Vancouver Island North’s 2025 Matching Campaign, which raised $55,631 to support affordable housing for local families across the Comox Valley and Campbell River.

This year’s campaign featured the largest matching pool in Habitat VIN’s history, totaling $12,500. Christoph Real Estate Group was honoured to be a long-time matching partner, joined by Mainroad Contracting and private donors, helping inspire generosity during a time when many families are feeling real financial pressure.

The campaign came to life through festive, volunteer-led events at both ReStore locations, including Selfies with Santa, bake sales, and donation tables throughout December. These moments brought the community together in a meaningful way — turning everyday shopping trips into opportunities to support local housing solutions.

A standout moment was Giving Tuesday, which raised more than $2,200 in online donations in a single day, showing just how powerful collective action can be.

While this year’s total came in slightly below last year’s results, Habitat emphasized that raising over $55,000 in today’s economic climate is a meaningful achievement — one that will directly support building and sustaining affordable homeownership opportunities on North Vancouver Island.

Habitat for Humanity Vancouver Island North has helped build 51 affordable homes since 2004, serving 58 local families through its unique model that combines affordable mortgages with volunteer engagement — creating long-term stability and stronger communities.

We’re grateful to be part of a community that shows up, gives back, and believes everyone deserves a safe place to call home. Supporting initiatives like Habitat isn’t just philanthropy — it’s an investment in the future of our region.
